After 20 years in the business, chocolatier Murray Langham has created countless innovations and world firsts at Schoc Chocolates of Greytown – from the first and possibly only hot cross bun flavoured chocolate in the world in 2005 to a Matariki tablet, and most recently, a special assortment of truffles to celebrate King Charles’ Coronation.
Rather than drum up another innovative flavour to celebrate their 20-year milestone, this time Schoc have drawn his inspiration from the well-known, albeit fictional Willy Wonka with the Schoc Chocolate Golden Ticket Promotion!
Hidden amongst the blocks of Schoc chocolate – of which there are more than 60 flavours in tablet form alone – are not one, but three Golden Tickets. Find a Golden Ticket and you’ve scored yourself $1000 worth of Schoc Chocolate.
Alongside the Golden Ticket promotion, Schoc has a series of events taking place in July to celebrate their 20th birthday, from wine and chocolate pairing, kids’ chocolate workshops, and even a Chocolate Therapy session where you can find out what your favourite flavour says about you, and what chocolate you should eat to find your true self.
With 60 flavours in the chocolate tablet range alone, there is a chocolate that is perfect for you. From classic strawberry or heavenly caramel to the more challenging – and hugely popular – whole lime and chilli, sea salt, pink peppercorn, to name but a few.

Here are a few of our team’s all-time favourite Schoc chocolate choices:
In December 2002 Schoc Chocolates was born. In a tiny turn-of-the century cottage, in gourmet Greytown’s main street (the original confectioners shop), owner and creator Murray Langham of the Chocolate Therapy books opened the doors to the sumptuous hand-made chocolates and small Chocolate Therapy studio.
Schoc Chocolates is a unique blend of gourmet chocolate and self-exploration. We combine the joy and health benefits of consuming quality chocolate with a deeper understanding of one’s inner self.
